    Home run simple yet tasty recipes!
    This book has GREAT recipes without “junk” additives. We are eating more healthy meals with all the simple but super tasty options included. I took it to kinkos to get it spiral bound to make it easier for me to use, and the clerk was so impressed with the included recipes he intends to buy the book. He worked as a cook at a restaurant and he was very impressed with the simple but obviously tasty options. It’s great!

    Great explanation of the poison “Sugar” with receipes to provide tasty healthy food.
    Great book, explains why we need to restrict our consumption of ALL sugars to save or bodies from diabetes and excessive weight, i. e. FATness!!! Explains the problems from excessive intake of simple carbohydrates in the form of sugars. Also, lists the fifty plus names for “sugar” to help you manage your diet. Lustig is a pediatric MD, specializing in treating obese children and in his practice noted the prevalence of sugar in the diets of the kids he was treating. These observation lead him to find that the effect of the fructose half of the common sugar molecule was basically acting as a poison by it’s effect on our liver where it is processed and then either stored there or in our body as FAT. You will find this book eminently readable without using a lot of medical language. The recipes, which were created by his coauthor, are all designed to limit sugars and still be nourishing and tasty.

    Great recipes but needs to be in a format that will be a better reference in my kitchen.
    I give this only a 4 star because the format of the cookbook is not good for quick and easy access in the kitchen, however the quality of recipes is a five star. The front half of the book reiterates what I have already read in the Fat Chance book… Which, by the way, IS THE BEST EVER explanation you will ever read on why we are a fat scociety and how you can change that for yourself and family. I did not learn this in nursing school. Such a shame that our food has been bastardized and brought us to the illness that financially breaks us before we go. It is the cause of the failure in our healthcare system. As for this cookbook… I wish it was more conducive to utilize in the kitchen. Hoping that Cindy (chef and co-author) will realize that and produce a real cookbook or maybe an app to be a tool in my kitchen.

    A life changer…no kidding.
    Look, if you’re locked into the dietary habits of a lifetime and have no interest in modifying them despite verifiable contradictory evidence, then do not bother with this book. I’m 73 y/o and as resistant to change as any other human being. But (and there’s always a “but”) I do confess that I’m open to re-evaluating my beliefs and if an argument is persuasive enough, well, I’ll do some digging. So, before you order this cookbook please investigate the author. Once you’re satisfied that he’s a reliable resource for scientific/medical data, then adding this to your own library will be a no-brainer. Bonus: if you’re gun-shy about utilizing YouTube, the first four chapters are highly educational. (Amazon’s return policy should accommodate you nicely. Hint, hint and you’re welcome.)

    Eye Opener – Wonderful recipes to restore health to the body
    How did this get past Big Food & Pharma? OMG So thankful this information is still available.Trust me it will not be long before the movement from sugary and processed food manufactures step up their campaign(along with Big Pharma who profits secondarily from related health issues) to silence medical science that reveals they have one agenda to gain at your expense.The author believes we can change their behavior if we cook healthy food at home and not buy into their products. That big food will start producing foods without added sugars and keep fiber needed for body to properly metabolize. Their business model will not convince them to do so, they will up their advertising game and increase sugar and do all they can to spread misinformation that swallows the truth. Thankfully they have yet to control all messaging, get an keep this book and share with others if you want to be equipped to properly feed your body for a long enjoyable healthy life. Die of old age not complications of metabolic related diseases.

    Seguo da tempo l’autore ed è molto competente. Forse un paio di concetti esposti risentono degli anni trascorsi dalla pubblicazione e degli studi scientifici usciti più di recente, ma in generale è un ottimo punto di partenza per approfondire l’argomento zuccheri nell’alimentazione.
