Magnetic is strong enough to hold a Samsung fold 5 on a golf cart driving over bumps and hills. With no slipping at all. Only problem is you can’t fast charge with the case on because of the magnet on the case. I have to remove the case to do so. A pain in the butt.

GiantHope magnetic golf cart phone holder: I received three different brands of this style of phone holder to test and I found this one to have the strongest magnets out of them all. Not only does the base attach very firmly to any ferrous metal, but the round phone magnet holds on to my phone the best. However, I got these phone holders to use for other purposes. I’ve attached this one to the refrigerator in my kitchen, so I can hang up my phone when I’m in that room. It keeps my phone out of the way and prevents it from getting knocked on to the floor. Where the mount’s shaft connects to the phone magnet, there is a locking nut surrounding a plastic ball, so you can adjust the angle your phone is facing. This is perfect for aiming my phone, so that I have the ideal viewing angle. This makes it easier for me to read my phone while cooking, especially if I’m following a recipe. Though there is some resistance when trying to remove my phone from this holder, I prefer this stronger adhesion over weaker magnets. With this mount, I know my phone won’t fall and can’t get accidentally knocked off. As well, when I do remove my phone from the holder, the base remains attached to my fridge and doesn’t come off with my phone. If you’re looking for the best and strongest magnetic phone mount for your phone, then you’ve found it here. So far, I haven’t tested one that can surpass this holder’s two magnets. On a bumpy golf course, I’m positive this phone holder will remain attached to the cart and your phone will stay attached to this holder, no matter how hard you hit a bump.

This phone holder has a super strong magnetic base that attaches very securely to any other magnetic surface and it can be used just about anywhere, not just for use on a golf cart. I got it to mount on my fridge, so we can use an older phone as a pet cam to check in on our pets when no one is home. For non-magsafe phones, a magnetic ring is included to put on your case and once the ring magnet gets close enough to the holder ring magnet, they snap together and stay together securely. The holder can be rotated 360° due to a flexible joint that connects it to the base and makes it possible to move it around and angle it to get the perfect shot for photos on one side or video calls on the other. The base magnet is so secure once it’s on my fridge, it takes 2 hands for me to remove it -there’s also no need to worry about leaving any marks or scratches on the surface since it’s non-slip; all factors that would make it ideal for a moving golf cart. Overall, I’m very pleased with the functional, versatile design and compact, carbon appearance, along with the magnetic strength and range of motion this holder has; it’s made of quality, heavy duty materials and I would buy again.

I picked up this magnetic phone holder as a little stocking stuffer for my husband. You know how he’s always fumbling around with his phone to check the GPS yardage app while driving the golf cart? Yeah, it was kind of a hassle. Normally, those “golf gadgets” end up gathering dust in the junk drawer, but this one? It’s been in his bag for months now!The Good Stuff:First off, the magnet strength is no joke. Honestly, I was worried he’d hit a bump and his pricey phone would go flying off the cart. But he says it locks onto the cart’s metal frame like it’s glued there, hasn’t budged an inch, even when the course gets bumpy.And that 360° rotation? Super handy! He can mount it on the roof support bar and just swivel it around to see the screen without any glare getting in the way.Plus, it’s small and portable. After his round, he just tosses it in his golf bag, so he doesn’t have to worry about leaving it attached to the cart.Oh, and it’s perfect for keeping score or switching up the music without having to hold the phone.The “Heads Up” Stuff:Now, a couple of things to keep in mind. It comes with these adhesive metal plates. If you’ve got a thick case that isn’t magnetic, you’ll need to stick one of those plates on the back for it to work. Otherwise, it won’t hold through a chunky Otterbox. And for heaven’s sake, don’t forget it on the cart when you head back to the clubhouse! I tested this out and it works perfectly fine as a phone holder. The magnet is really strong and holds the phone securely, as well as adhering to whatever surface you magnet it on to as well. The magnet to attach the holder to a surface is a small size, meaning it can attach to a narrow surface. It is plenty strong enough to hold a phone, but is also strong enough to serve as a hanging hook for lighter items. I have been bringing it to the studio with me, I have a pottery class, and the floor is always dusty as all get out, but there is no place to really put a bag. There are metal beams though, and I thought maybe the phone holder would be strong enough to hang my bag off of. It has worked perfectly and I have been using it like that for a few weeks now. If there is too much in my bag it will slide down the beam, but it holds a significant amount of weight before that happens, including a heavy Yeti full of water. There is a bit of a foam rubber coating that got scuffed off removing the magnet the other week, because it holds so firmly and the beam is rough coated, but it will still work fine.

This phone holder seems like it will be fantastic. It’s winter so I can’t try it on the golf cart but can’t wait to in the summer. The magnet is extremely strong!! Stronger than I thought. Which it would have to be if they want you to use it on the side of a golf cart. With all the bumps you’ll be going on it needs to stay strong. The mount itself is built with quality materials that should withstand everything you need it for. I like that the mounting bracket squeezes into a ball then it is tightened with a thread to keep it extra secure. Gives me some piece of mind. It comes with some adhesive metal rings that you put onto your phone if you don’t have the iPhone compatible case. So it’s able to work for any device you have you could in theory put anything you want with the metal ring on it and it will hold securely. I definitely recommend this product for what it is. Strong and high quality.
