Installation was incredibly simple — it attaches easily to multiple surfaces in my car and feels very secure once in place. Even with temperature changes (hot and cold weather), it stays firmly mounted and does not slide or lose suction.The magnetic ring is one of my favorite features. It allows me to place my phone on the mount and remove it effortlessly, yet the hold is impressively strong and stable while driving — even over bumps or rough roads. This is a great phone holder that can be used on a wide variety of flat surfaces! This has been a GAME CHANGER for keeping my phone (and navigation) visible for driving. I love how it has a ‘2 in 1’ sticking mechanism, utilizing both suction and a sticky pad to lock the mount in place.It comes with a separate ‘base mounting pad’, a flat piece of hard plastic with 3M adhesive on the bottom, that you can stick on your dash to give the actual phone stand a flat surface to anchor on, but this piece is unnecessary if you want to just suction the stand to your window.The suction ‘locking’ mechanism is strong, as the part that suctions to the window is super sticky (the ‘sticky pad’ referenced above) and gives you extra insurance that your phone will stay put. This stand is so easy to use. It is not permanent, so you can move and reposition it, however, the adhesive on the suction is strong, so it may take some real elbow grease to get it off once you stick it somewhere.Overall a great product! Have (and will continue) to purchase as a gift for family and friends.

Good suction mount especially on smooth surfaces
I got this mount mainly to replace my old vent clip phone holder. The magnetic connection is strong and snaps the phone into place instantly, which makes it really convenient when you’re getting in and out of the car. For the most part it holds the phone pretty securely. If you’re using a very large phone though, the hold can feel a little less solid depending on the angle.Another thing I like is the suction design. Instead of using sticky adhesive pads, it uses a vacuum-style suction cup with a locking lever, so it attaches firmly to the windshield or dashboard and can still be repositioned without leaving residue. The overall build quality feels decent. It’s not super premium, but it doesn’t feel cheap either. I also like the mechanical feel of the arm, and the mount can fold down fairly small when you’re not using it. One thing I noticed is that it sticks best to smooth surfaces like glass. On textured areas it can be a bit less reliable. For example, when I tried placing it on the upper part of my dashboard, the suction wasn’t quite as strong as it was on the windshield, but it’s been a convenient upgrade from my old mount and does what I need it to do.

Finally, a worthwhile magnetic base mount that actually works. Great quality (so far), great suction (windscreen), great magnetic hold for my 16 pro. And all installed in our company van which is no soft ride. Also comes with a secondary adhesive plate base if you want to mount on a porous surface (i.e. a dashboard).Recommended.
