Solid build and clamp doesn’t damage surfaces.
Title sums it up but to expand on the build quality – I’ve been using this to scan trading cards with my phone. The arm is solid and doesn’t wiggle. When you need to adjust position you can just move the phone and the arm gives way perfectly for the move and stays where you put it. As far as positioning goes it’s got a good reach of about 2′. It hasn’t gotten in my way at all so slipping cards in and out of the camera view has been easy.The arm slips into the clamp easily and I haven’t tightened it into the clamp at all. This allows me to pull the arm off my desk without having to unscrew anything. Very convenient. The post for the arm/clamp connection is about 1.5″ long and 1’2″ in diameter. Plenty strong for my iPhone 13 pro. The arm doesn’t sag when you put your phone in.The only downside is on me for not thinking through how I’d be using this. I need to see my phone screen while using this so I had to get a little creative and not put my phone in all the way. Hard to explain but it was being held at the top and the bottom was hanging past the base of the clamp and this thing held fine. The phone clamp is VERY tight and releases with a click. I was using an iPhone 13 Pro so should be safe for most phones, I think mine is on the larger side and I didn’t even use the expandable bottom grip.The clamp in the video does have a bottom soft clamp. It fell off before I recorded =). It screwed right back on. My bad.

Sturdy and Perfect for Filming!!
I purchased the LISEN gooseneck phone holder and I’m honestly so happy with it. The clamp feels sturdy and secure on my desk, and the arm is strong enough to hold my phone without sagging or shaking.I use it mainly for recording videos and creating content, and it’s perfect for getting different angles, especially overhead shots. The arm is flexible but still stable once you position it. It also works great when I’m watching videos.It was easy to install, and the grip holds my phone tightly without scratching it. If you’re looking for something stable for filming, working at your desk, or even using your phone in bed, this is a great option.Definitely worth the purchase!

Very sturdy, it holds my iPhone 16 pro max very well. It was so easy to install to my night stand. Flexible enough for any position I need. Functions as it should and moves easily but when you turn the nob it stays put. Super helpful especially for aspiring authors.

Poor Design for Flush-Against-Wall Headboards
I bought this because I wanted a way to hold my phone while lying in bed without straining my arms or wrists. I usually lie on my back and like to watch a bit of TV before falling asleep, so I started looking on Amazon for a solution and came across this gooseneck model (marketed on the box as a “cantilever bracket”).Assembly was straightforward, and I mounted it to my headboard, which sits almost flush against the wall. Unfortunately, that’s where the problems started.My headboard is fairly tall, and with the arm mounted vertically as intended, the only way to see the phone is to stare almost straight up at the ceiling. It’s an incredibly awkward and uncomfortable viewing angle. There are additional mounting holes that allow you to install the arm horizontally instead of vertically, which could have solved the issue — but the large tightening knob that secures the mount sticks out too far and is on the wrong side. If your bed is close to the wall, there simply isn’t enough clearance to use that orientation unless you pull the entire bed away from the wall.In my opinion, the mounting hole positions should have been reversed. This feels like a design oversight. See the picture attached for more of an explanation.To be fair, I think this product would probably work well if you’re clamping it to a desk or table. But for anyone specifically looking to use it while lying in bed — especially with a taller headboard or limited wall clearance — this isn’t a great fit.I ended up purchasing another model with a longer arm and better hole placement, allowing the arm to extend vertically and angle toward me at about 45 degrees. That’s a much more natural and comfortable viewing position.Because of the design limitations for bed use, I’ll be returning this one.
