Loved this book!
I knew nothing about the book or the author. When I picked it up. I was transfixed. Great characters, plot line that you never knew what would happen in lots of twists. New beginnings and endings all at the same time. It is a definite must read. So glad that I found it. I will recommend it to others.

Good story
Really enjoyed the book. Characters were interesting. Definitely hard to put down. So many possibilities of who the killer might be.

More about people than the puzzle, and that’s the point
Someone You Know begins with one of those scenes that instantly makes your stomach drop, Dee discovers her daughter Natalie at the bottom of the stairs, barely alive, whispering just one word: “pushed.” From that moment, the story moves between grief, suspicion, and small-town unease. It’s not a high-speed thriller; it’s more of a slow unravelling, full of secrets and quiet emotional punches. What I liked most is how Erin Kinsley focuses on people, not just the puzzle. You feel Dee’s desperation and guilt, but also the ripple effect of the tragedy through friends, neighbors, and even strangers. Everyone seems to know a little something, and no one is entirely innocent. The emotional depth really carries the book. I cared less about the “whodunit” at times and more about how these people were breaking and coping. The writing has a calm, confident rhythm, and the small-community atmosphere feels uncomfortably real – gossip, sympathy, judgment, all tangled together. However, there are quite a few side characters and shifting viewpoints, and sometimes I had to stop and remind myself who was who. A couple of chapters wander into long reflections that don’t always push the story forward, and by the end, the big reveal lands a bit too neatly — it makes sense, but it didn’t leave me stunned the way I hoped. But I don’t regret reading it, this isn’t a thriller that races — it simmers. It’s about grief, guilt, and the lies families live with, wrapped in a mystery that slowly tightens

great suspense
I kept changing thoughts on who was the suspect. The author really made you feel like you knew the characters. Some youLiked others you hated. Definitely a great read.

Liar! Liar!
Not all families tell the truth as you are familiar. In fact, this family likes to lie, loves to lie, and mainly needs to lie! Now, it is up to you to see between the lies to figure out the twists and turns between all of these characters.

Masterfully written mystery that weaves suspense and surprises from the first page; kept me guessing till the very end. The characters are very well developed. Definitely recommend .

I was really excited to read this book and it absolutely did not disappoint! The premise drew me right in.Throughout, I was adamant I knew what was going on and what had happened, I got to 91% and it made me audibly gasp (my notes as I read said ‘91% omg’) 😂 I was wrong! I love twists 😍I really enjoyed the writing style, the relatively short chapters and the pacing was great. The only relatively negative thing I have to say about this book is how upset I felt for a certain character, it hurt my heart!!A fantastic read and I would recommend this to anyone who loves a thriller.Overall, I give this book 5 stars!

I have just recently discovered this author, so am having a bit of a binge of her books & so far this is my third. As with the others, I found it really hard to put down. I love how the characters are formed & linked , the relationships & the story itself was gripping. A great read.
