A beautiful heart touching read!
Thank you for this beautiful story. I love to read, it is my all time favorite past time. You can go anywhere in a book. It is what I told my children when they were growing up. I read to them every night before bed. I continued to do so even as they grew up and could read for themselves. They loved to gather in the youngest siblings room at bedtime to hear me read. I read chapter books as soon as they were able to follow a long story. I’d always say, just one or two chapters tonight, and end up reading way past bedtime. All my girls are avid readers. My son had trouble with reading and didn’t like to read, because it was a challenge for him and we didn’t understand about learning disabilities back then. When he was in high school and was assigned a book to read I’d read it to him. He was our oldest, so when the girls were assigned to read a book in high school chances were they had already listened to me read it to their brother. This story touched me on so many levels. Thank you for writing such wonderful books❤️

Heartwarming
I liked the characters in this book. They had depth and were relatable. I would not view this as a feel good book because some things are not that at times. However the book did leave me feeling good. For me that made it a worthwhile read.

What a Sweet Take on Life
Life can be so tough sometimes. What I so dearly loved about this book is that the characters and storyline are real, yet also still manages to be optimistic. I’m tired of fairytale novels. Bella Osborne is a delightful storyteller, striking just the right balance of realism and joy. I couldn’t put the book down after the third page. Thank you for writing this kind of story, and more, please.

I loved this book!
This story of a teenage boy and a widow in her 70’s is absolutely delightful. Both characters come to life so realistically, it’s hard to believe the same author developed them both. It’s a challenge, I think, to make both mindsets and their characteristics so believable that you see yourself in both, and understand them so well. Tom and Maggie form a lasting friendship that lifts both up and helps the other to not only survive in the midst of their trials, but to actually thrive, simply because the other is there. The author deals with some tough subjects in very touching ways and leaves the reader richer for it. She is able to summon compassion for those who have been stuck in alcoholism for years, while simultaneously commiserating with the ones who are most affected by a loved one’s alcoholism. Bullying, poverty, and giving a child up for adoption are among the other difficult subjects touched on, but there is healing found in unexpected places. I highly recommend this book! I simply loved it.

HUGS!
I would have given this wonderful book 10 stars if I could have. The story was simple, and something compelled me to keep reading and meeting each person. I became increasingly interested and invested in their lives and their feelings. The outcome was what made my heart sing. A wonderful story. Terrie Moody

Great book
I enjoyed this story so much, lonely people meeting each other at the library by chance. Each life improved by the circumstances. Especially that of a sad a lonely teen .

Great except
This was a fun, feel-good story. It was not always believable, but I still enjoyed it. As a person who spends time with teenagers, I don’t believe the author has any idea how 17-year-old boys actually think and operate, but the sentiment was good.

A delightful YA book
This is a very nice book for young adults. The problem is I am not a young adult. I made it to page 92 before I had to lay it aside. I immediately headed for number 14 in the James Lee Burke, Dave Robicheaux canon. If you really love good writing, you will do the same. Amazon has the whole series. Start with The Neon Rain.

I gigged, I cried, I stayed up late as I got lost in the chapter…..or two. Such good storytelling, with believable characters. Bella writes just enough to move the story forward, but in such a way that your imagination runs with it too. Thank you Bella Osnorne, may you write many many more.

Me ha gustado. No es espectacular, pero se lee bien. Yo leo en inglés y se lee bien por un español con nivel en inglés

I have read this book over two days or two evenings to be specific. I absolutely adored the story between Tom and Maggie, and how they both found each other in their time of need.It had me both laughing and crying and going on emotional journey for both Maggie and Tom but mostly Tom as a young boy who had lost his mother and has an alcoholic father. As a person who has a similar age with a similar situation I think it also captured the difficulties very well and quite realistically.I would definitely recommend this.

An easy red for when you are in between longer or deeper books. Tells the story of the friendship between two different people from different generations that taught each other valuable lessons.
Erica –
This Book was thoroughly enjoyable. The story is well paced, the characters well written and believable. I loved the development of the friendship between Maggie and Tom. There are dark moments in the story but ultimately this is a tale of hope. I’d recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a realistic tale of normal people who manage to cope with everything that happens to them. I shall definitely be reading more of Bella’ s books. Finally I’d like to say “use your local library!”
