Great read
Book 1 & 2 we’re very exciting, I had a hard time stopping reading because I wanted to find out the ending. When I find a book that captures my emotions it’s exhilarating. Book 3 had more action packed unbelievable scenes than one book should have. There were so many twist and turns it was hard to follow. Maybe if I had taken notes on the characters I could have followed the plot better. I loved the ending , but I can’t give this one a 5 star.

Good Mystery
Easy to read. Believable characters both pro and con. As a reader I thought the beginning started slow but mid way turned into a real page turned which was hard to put down . like to figure out who “done it” and was surprised with the ending. Will definitely read more in this series.

Ties up some ongoing storylines
Lots of violence made much of the book start to get repetitious. Ans the many red herrings and multiple suspects made the plot lines hard to follow at times. But the excellent writing and vivid characters kept the story interesting throughout. Not as good as the first two books but still entertaining.

This was a twisted, intriguing, and complicated story with a lot of twists, and unbelievable conclusions. There was a lot of grief, heartbreak, but in the end, everything worked out exactly how it should be.I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

Whatever choice he makes, it will come at a hefty price. – This is a good mystery, but read previous books in this series first. There are many references to matters addressed in books 1 or 2, and that is confusing since I have not read those. The mystery and characters are interesting. Clint begins a new relationship in this book. This book ends on a cliffhanger in that regard.

A beautifully written story that grabs believable characters and weaves them into a fantastic plot with so many twists and turns that it keeps you guessing right up to the end. No superheroes, just ordinary people working through all the confusion until they get to the right conclusion. One of the best reads this year (over 120 books so far this year)

Having read the other novels in the series I found this novel made a good addition. Perhaps too many bad police for a small town(at least I hope so). Found the romantic side of the story unrealistic. One day in love with one person and then someone else a few days later.

Clint is back! This book start off right where book two finished. That book had been left on a cliff-hanger, so I was really excited to read the next instalment. I read in it one sitting, not being able to put it down.It’s not often that I want to award more than 5 stars for a book, but if I could, I really would. This series got off to an amazing start and I had no clue how the author was going to top it. Book two was also fantastic, but this one blew them both out of the water altogether. I don’t want this to be the end, I want more from Clint, Susan and the rest of the gang. But if this is the last then it really went out with a bang.BJ Bourg really knows how to write suspense. Many times he had me holding my breath. This series needs to be read, you won’t be disappointed, I promise.
