twisty right until the end
A story where you think you know how it’ll end and it just keeps surprising you. Love, mystery, intrigue. this book has a little of everything. Well worth the read.

The plot was okay, but then….
The book started out okay but we’re supposed to believe the main character is a strong, intelligent woman who allows herself to be deceived by her husband and lover repeatedly despite telling herself this will not happen again. Also, the ending was just the ending. No real resolution of the conflicts of her emotional needs or her husband’s repeated betrayals. It could have been a really good book but was a very bland book that demonstrates a woman’s inability to keep firm boundaries.

Murder mystery with lots of drama
Woman bound as sex slave found murdered. Not a lot of clues. Defence attorney falls in love with accused client. Neighbor confessed but wait there is more. Ending somewhat disappointing.

Jay is dealing with a tough case as she works to defend her client, Edward Blake, whom she’s developing feelings for, and who has all the chips stacked against him.
