I think I found the perfect amount for the ionic five.
This charging mount has been one of the best items I found for my new ionic 5 vehicle. There is a rather unique feature in this car that has a panel on the left side with a metal backing plate underneath a cover. This mount has been designed to work exquisitely with that feature. It has several very strong magnets in the base that attached to the dash It takes a considerable amount of effort to move it remove it, twist it, etc. once it’s on the dash. I do not recommend trying to twist it while it is attached to the dash as it could damage the surface. Rather, I remove it and reposition it directly if I want to move it someplace else.The charging pad works very well with my iPhone 16 and including with one of the cases I have that doesn’t like charging on the native Hyundai qi charger. It works like a champ with this charger. The cable that came with it is black plastic covered and long enough to route from the charging pad around the steering wheel underneath the dash and over to the lower charge port beneath the dash on the ionic five. I did find that the Apple cable, which I tried to use initially would not stay seated in the charging port on the base well enough. Once I swapped with the cable that came with the charger it has yet to come out and I just took a 600 mile trip utilizing this.Taking the phone off the charger needs to be deliberate to get it to separate, there is no vibration and removing it from the base does not remove the overall mount from the mounting position on the dash. Meaning you can easily get the phone off the charge pad without disrupting the mount base. It works quite well.Multiple positions are possible you can rotate the phone on the base and have it vertical or horizontalInstallation couldn’t be easier you attach the charger base to the mount stick the magnetic mount on the dash run a cable. Overall very sturdy design. I’m thinking about getting a second one.

Apparently it magnetic sticks to the speaker on the Hyundai tucson. I can confirm this works as advertised. Dont buy the others that go on the frame of the screen, they dont work.You just need to route a power cord to it if you want it to charge your phone, which the one provided might not be long enough.I have hit a bump or 2 and it holds great.

Overall works well, but backlight is distracting
This mount works well. The magnet attaching it to the fabric-backed metal section of the Ioniq 5’s cowling is very strong and it doesn’t slip even when driving over very bumpy roads.I recommend using a u-shaped USB-C cable instead of the one that came with it. I routed my cable through the air vent, then underneath the dashboard, and then hardwired a USB-A port into the back of where the 12 volt power port is located. It only takes two clips and one 10mm bolt to remove the center section. This way, the wire is almost completely hidden, there are no ugly wires dangling anywhere, and all of the factory charging ports are unobstructed.There are two things I don’t like about this:1. There is a constant green light that illuminates whenever this device has power. It is a bit bright at nighttime, and green is the worst color to have shining in your face when driving in the dark. This isn’t a huge deal as having my phone mounted here obviously blocks the light, but I would have preferred no light at all. It’s a bit of a gimmick and doesn’t match the rest of the interior. I want my chargers to blend in and be invisible, not stick out like a green thumb.2. I think the price is a bit expensive for what this is. If the green light was removed, it would look better and be cheaper/easier to manufacture.Overall, however, this is a great solution if you have an iPhone with a MagSafe mount. The factory wireless charger was great for heating my iPhone, but not for charging the battery. This works much better.

Amazing wireless charger
I didn’t even realize that part of my Kona’s dashboard can be used with magnets until I saw this product! It’s a perfect minimalistic phone charger! The magnetic base is really strong and the magnetic phone holder is just strong enough to keep the phone on there, while making it easy to unmount it. Charging seems fast enough even with my phone case. Overall I’m very happy with this product!

I like that this phone mount attaches magnetically to my dashboard without needing sticky adhesive that would damage the cloth. It charges my phone wirelessly as soon as I put it on and the magnet holds it securely even on bumpy roads. I also like that I can rotate it easily between portrait and landscape with one hand without it coming off. Looks nice, too; highly recommended.

I’ve been using this magnetic phone holder/charger in my Hyundai Sonata for a few weeks now, and overall it’s been a pretty good experience. The magnetic mount is surprisingly strong and sticks well to the metallic dashboard without shifting, even on rough roads. What I really liked was how easy it is to snap my MagSafe-compatible phone on and off with one hand. Charging works reliably during daily commutes, and the viewing angle is comfortable for navigation.That said, it’s not perfect. The charging speed feels a bit slower than a wired charger, and phone placement needs to be just right to get consistent charging. Also, it’s clearly designed for specific Hyundai interiors, so placement options are limited. Still, for hands-free driving and a clean setup, it does the job well.
