They got it right the second time.
After downloading the app, I followed the link within it to order this phone holder to take steadier scans. got it fairly quickly, but unfortunately, the thread on the screw for the phone holder didn’t match the support arm. it was impossible to tighten the holder under the arm. It kept slipping off because the threads wouldn’t connect. I sent the item back, and after a couple of messages from the customer service people they sent me a new unit that was perfect to the relatively low price point this is an excellent solution. If you plan to scan a high number of photographs, slides, documents using the app. It holds things completely still, so you can voice activate scanning through the app’s functionality. The arm is very stiff and firm and introduces no wobble that the app has to compensate for. I really like the app, and was disappointed that the first unit didn’t work out, but they were able to rectify the situation and enable me to give this a five star review. I order a lot from Amazon, and frankly anyone can make a mistake. I wouldn’t let that count against them in my review, I wanted to mention it in case this is not a one-in-a-thousand type problem.

Very useful
This device is great for keeping a steady camera when you’re scanning with Photomyne, especially if you use the mini-control button that lets you click the shutter without touching the camera. This was the second of these I purchased. Unfortunately, the segment holding the arm in place snapped off as I was putting it together this time. I managed to superglue it back on and it’s holding OK but it was disappointing. Even so, it’s a fine device when you’re scanning multiple slides and photos.

Simple easy to use, sturdy enough. Manipulate to where you want your phone facing and take your photos. You could pay a lot more and get a lot less, or pay a lot more and get more than you need.
