    Must Read!
Warrick tells a heart wrenching story about his past, forgiveness, healing and his courage to continue forward for his family who depended on him. He has become an incredible human being who gives so much back to the world around him. We need more Warrick Dunn’s in this world!

    Beautiful story
Very cheap for this incredible story. Warrick Dunn and Charlie Ward are why I fell in love with Florida State University. They’re still my team and these two are the cornerstone of my love for them. His life story is amazing and it was so incredible to get a behind the scenes peak at what was going on in his life as I was watching him on the field. Incredibly underrated RB who put up some of the most spectacular performances in sports and should have been an NFL champion if the Buc’s appreciated him.

    Inspirational
I first remember watching Warrick Dunn playing for Tampa Bay and he truly was an exceptional running back. I had no idea about how he took it upon himself to take care of his brothers and sisters at such a young age after his mother was killed. I had never heard about all the single mothers that he helped with his Home For The Holidays foundation. Mr. Dunn deserves respect and admiration for what he did on the football field, but he deserves even more for all the people he helped by setting up people to succeed when they finally owned their first home. His work in various communities is outstanding and his story is a great example of success and paying it forward despite dealing with the most horrendous loss imaginable.

    Thought provoking and encouraging!
This book was powerful and is life changing for me. I was hesitant at first because I didn’t think a professional athlete could speak into my life and give me hope for what i am struggling with right now. Boy was I wrong. This book covers how to find the courage to live your best life after you have given so much of it away to caring for and loving others that you think you have nothing left for yourself. Mr. Dunn would say you are wrong and I agree with him. I strongly encourage anyone who is struggling with any kind of demons in life to read this book. I promise you it will bless you. I know it has truly blessed me! Vanessa Savage

    Warwick is amazing!
After learning that Warwick and I both lost our mothers to a senseless crime, I am so impressed with his dedication to his siblings and to his coaches and to the game of football. More importantly we are brothers and sisters in Christ. I also love to help people. I would love to personally give him a hug and thank him for this book and being such a wonderful Christian man!!!

If you are a big Warrick Dunn or FSU fan you will like it a lot
This was a light and interesting read. If you are a big Warrick Dunn or FSU fan you will like it a lot. I was intrigued by his upbringing by a single mother with siblings from multiple fathers, the loss of his mother who was a police officer that was killed on duty while he was in high school, and his efforts toward the foundation he founded to give back.

    Awesome story. Problem with shipping…
Although I had a lot of trouble with the shipping, this book is great. Dunn’s story is a must-read. I purchased a used copy, and it’s just like new. Highly recommend buying used books. I have in the past, and I have not been disappointed.

If I ever knew about the ambush murder of Warrick Dunn’s (policewoman) mother, I had forgotten when I decided to pick this book up. So it was a surprise to me when Running For My Life began with Dunn en route to the notorious Angola (prison) to meet his mother’s killer. It certainly pulled me into Dunn’s story – and made me want to read more. And it was an interesting and quick read – taking the reader from the night of the murder through Dunn’s career at FSU and the NFL. His charity work is prominently featured, and the book features several mini-biographies of women that his (housing) charity has helped. Dunn is clearly a remarkable man, but remains a bit aloof – perhaps this is down to the co-writer…?Running For My Life isn’t perfect – Dunn’s own story is more “tell” than “show” – he talks about his difficulties making friends and committing to women – but doesn’t want to give specific examples. And I couldn’t help but wonder if the bios would have been more affecting had they been placed together at the end of the book. Still a must-read for NFL fans, though!

Good book. Pen mark on the front and damaged packaging when received. Minor issues and doesn’t detract from the content.
