A fantastic encyclopedic cookbook of interesting, optimized, and delicious recipes
This is a fantastic encyclopedic cookbook that contains all manner of wonderful recipes from the TV show. The range is tremendous and I love that it contains interesting and delicious recipes from numerous types of cooking including Asian (including Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese), Spanish, Mexican, and others too numerous to mention. The recipes don’t get in by chance — they are curated and selected to mostly insure they are delicious and interesting, and the TV show attempts to do a light “optimization” of them as well which reduces practical problems when cooking them and provides a few good tips on how to prepare them. I put this in my “top 5” cookbooks of all time which is the highest praise I can give. I could cook out of this book for the rest of my life and probably never get bored or run out of challenges and discoveries. Hugely worth the price of admission! Recommended!

I strongly recommend purchasing this Cookbook in person at your local bookstore if available. It DOES NOT ship well. I bought this book directly through Amazon and it was completely ripped apart due to shipping and lack of appropriate packing material, and this book is a biggie! It is heavy and large, so take that into consideration if purchasing. Instead of returning the book and risking the same issue of destruction, I used a Hot Glue gun to re-attach the book to the spine, since I plan on writing in it and giving it a workout anyway.**However**, this cookbook is an America’s Test Kitchen Encyclopedia! It’s a gem! Beautiful photos, ALL the best and tested recipes you’ve seen on TV, and it’s at your fingertips so you don’t have to rummage online looking for a recipe you know you want to make. There’s an included section of the best, tested products to use for all the recipes included…completely genius! I absolutely love this new cookbook, it’s my new go-to!

Great Cookbook!
This is a completely detailed cookbook with easy to read and use instructions. As a viewer of the American Test Kitchen on PBS, I’ve loved their shows and valued their comments. This book is HUGE – over a 1000 pages – but if you like honest, helpful instructions that have been tested and tested, then this is your book!I purchased this for my son-in-law who is a college chemical engineering professor. I might have to get a copy for myself! 🙂

Very, very big.I know that it includes the 25 years but maybe it’s too much.I got the complete cook’s country one last year, and other Books from America’s test kitchen and it’s different dimensions, it would have been great if they matched.This one doesn’t include full page images and IMHO looks a little bit “dry” compared too the other ones I have from ATKIt’s gonna be loved and used nonetheless, but this details are important.

Sort of disappointed there weren’t more recipes for things like duck or goose. But otherwise a great buy as the recipes work.

ATK recipes are frequently what you would get in a high end restaurant. There are easy recipes for all, and some really complex ones which are not for faint of heart. expect to spend an hour in the preps, but the results are amazing. ATK tests out recipes before accepting them. save time from googling all those crappy recipes you find by asking Mr. Google. And their subscription app is incredible. find new recipes and save your favourites…
