The Reunion
Once Cait Du Bois vowed never to return to the place that reminds her of the horror she experienced. But when Hotel Lilith is chosen as the location for her high-school reunion, she finds herself unable to resist the appeal of showing off her new life to the people who once made her existence miserable. Cait is no stranger to being noticed in public, especially as a best-selling author with an enthusiastic fan base, but back at Hotel Lilith, she was once recognized for a completely different reason.
With all eyes on her as she returns to the town she’s spent years running from, she finds it increasingly difficult to discern between fans and foes. Haunted by the memory of a night that torments her, she resolves to put the past behind her and move on. No one knows the truth about what happened back then. At least, that’s what she’s always believed.
Shortly after her arrival, strange things begin to occur. A mysterious package, strange calls, and frightening text messages seem to be just the beginning of the nightmare about to unfold. Someone is determined to bring the truth to light. If they succeed, the life Cait has built based on secrets could come crashing down around her. And if they want her to pay for what she’s done, her lies may be the least of her concerns. Someone’s out for blood.

Great book!
I really, really enjoyed this book. The character development is great I absolutely loved Grant’s character. It wasn’t until the very end that I figured out who was behind the madness. Can’t really say much more without spoiling it… But it’s a great read.

Great Read
I am a KM fan for sure. This book started picking up for me towards the end. The build-up to the story was great, I’m just used to previous reads being more of a constant build, which is a me problem. So many possible culprits made this a delightful read at the end. High School heartbreak, not with just a lover, but the heartbreak of losing a best friend as well. Grant, Sam, Jamie, Kate, Vanessa, and her crew- who is innocent in the death of a friend or…an unknown blast from the past.

a page turner
I will never get tired of a Modglin book. Her stories amaze me and keeps me turning the page. I always try to guess the who done it part….but never get it right. This is because the author always surprises me. Someone who I never thought of….did it.And so we follow Sam, Cait and Jamie in their teenage years. Happy times? Not when Jamie, at the prom disappears and is later found dead. And so we find ourselves years later at the school reunion. What exactly happened? Well we find out and again it was not what I thought. I love stories like these and maybe someday I will actually guess the endings of Modglin’s books…..or maybe not. Either way I will not stop reading them. In fact, I am starting another one of hers….Just Married.

Could be better
I really enjoyed a majority of this book, I kept going through pages like water. The ending just didn’t hit for me, I finished this book feeling very meh about the ending.Overall this book wasn’t bad and I would still recommend it. I also HATED Jamie because she seemed super stuck up and mean to her friends when the popular girls didn’t even like her, can’t say I was sad to see her go.Also, the MC Cait is another character that I’m kinda meh about, she makes stupid decisions and is pretty selfish herself. But more likable than Jamie, IMO!Overall, the book was good, but it kind of felt like it fell apart towards the end!I loved The Arrangement series by this author and I will definitely check out more from her.I just want to say that if you enjoyed the ending and this book then I’m really happy you enjoyed it and I recommend to check out more from this author!

GREAT new author for me !
JAN 2023 : ‘21 – READ ‘23 – 4 STARSDESCRIPTION: Hotel Lilith holds terrible memories for Cait Du Bois. The darkest night of her life happened within its walls. Once, she vowed never to return to the place that reminds her of the horror she experienced. But when the hotel is chosen as the location for her high school reunion, Cait finds herself unable to resist the appeal of showing off her new life to the people who once made her existence miserable. Cait is no stranger to being noticed in public, especially as a bestselling author. Shortly after her arrival, strange things begin to occur. A mysterious package, strange calls, and frightening text messages seem to be just the beginning of the nightmare about to unfold.REVIEW: Recommended by Facebook “Psychological Thriller Group” – Thanks gottapeanow New author for me. Liked the writing. Enjoying the slow reveal of what happened 10 years ago in high school. Loved the lesson that not stopping or correcting a bully equals being a bully. Enjoying the “cat & mouse” type game at the reunion. Very enjoyable read with a satisfying ending. Authors’ new book due 1/31/23, The Family Secret $6.99 which I’ve put on my TBR List.

Amazing New Thriller!!
“My entire world had gone up in flames, and I was still holding the match.”Well, Queen Kiersten has done it again! I was kept guessing all the way through, and then, at the end, I was shocked once again!!The seamless transitions between present day, and the past, were brilliant. I’ve read books with flashbacks before and they can be confusing to say the least. Not this time! It was perfectly executed and gave the reader both a perfect history of the characters, and left you with just enough distrust of each of them in the present. Amazing!!You know, I’ve only been to one of my high school reunions. I’m still in touch with most of my circle of friends from that time anyway. But, after reading this, I don’t think I’ll be attending any in the future either.I love, love, love this author!! She always keeps you on your toes and never sure of the “whodunnit” all the way until the end! Bravo Queen Modglin on another twisty, turny thriller!!

kept me reading ….
I liked the writing style and details. The book moved fast, once it got going. It was a bit far-fetched and while the ending was a surprise, I didn’t care for it. Several things didn’t make a lot of sense during the story. But it kept me engaged and I will read more from this author. It wa my first book.

I really enjoy Kiersten’s thrillers. They keep you guessing, never dry out & have intelligent twists. Real page-turners if you will. The ending by of this one was brilliant.

I’ve been wanting to read some of her books for a while now and when this one was recommended I jumped on it and it did not disappointment. Really enjoyed it
Corinne Taniguchi –
The book was engaging. We want to know what’s going to happen and the past that could explain it all. But the ending was banal.

“The Reunion” by Kiersten Modglin. Not her usual story or her surprise ending.Maybe rush to meet deadline. But interesting enough.
