No Safe Secret
A powerful story of betrayal, courage, and starting over from #1 New York Times bestselling author Fern Michaels . . .
“The triumphant theme of women like Molly finding justice will appeal to readers.”—Booklist
“Secrets, revenge and personal redemption from bestseller Michaels.”—Publishers Weekly
From her silver Mercedes to her designer kitchen, Molly’s life is gleaming and beautiful—at least on the surface. But no one in her Goldenhills, Massachusetts, community knows what living with her demanding husband Tanner is really like. They know even less about the life she left behind in Florida almost two decades ago.
Back then, Molly was Maddy Carmichael, living with her twin brother and neglectful mother in a run-down trailer park amid the orange groves of Florida. After the terrible events of her high school prom night, Molly fled north and reinvented herself.
Now the veneer of Molly’s polished existence is finally cracking—and Molly must find the strength to become the woman she once hoped to be.

Secrets that lead to truth
This was one of the most suspenseful books I’ve read in a long time. About a deep dark secret which comes out to be the best ever I highly recommend this book. Not what happen tamale but how she gets through this and comes out the victory

Review
Growing up she’d worked small jobs for money to feed herself and pay the rent her twin brother and mom occasionally occupied. For prom she’d saved money to buy a beautiful prom dress but her brother had sold her to the football team and they raped her under the bleachers. When she woke up from the assault she had walked barefooted to her old red mustang and headed out of town. She ended up outside of Boston at a diner and got a job, met and married a dentist with twin boys. He abused her and taught his sons to disrespect her. They had a daughter that the mother held dear .Enjoy

Heartwrenching!
A powerful story about Maddy, A senior in high school, who flees her home in Florida to escape her abusive situation from both her mother and her twin brother. She ends up in Boston where she changes her name to Molly and becomes a nanny to a dentist, Dr. Tanner, then subsequently marries him. Unfortunately, she’s gone from one abusive situation to another as so often happens in real life. The only bright spot is their daughter Kristen. The intensity of this book made me feel like I was on a roller coaster. It took me so high and plunged me so low. Molly is such a powerful, resilient and courageous woman. This book speaks volumes. Brava, Fern!

I do like her books. Easy read. But good story.

Very good book, with extremely important message
I enjoyed reading this book, despite the initial discomfort it caused me. It was far to similar to my own truths. I could not put it down. But, fortunately, there was a happily ever after ending. Unlike so many others who have shared the same fate. What is most important is the information that followed the ending of the story. I hope that it has had the desired effect on at least one person. It would be worth it.

Ending is terribly written
I loved reading this book and enjoyed it as I was reading. So why the negative review? The ending is written as if the author suddenly realized she had somewhere to be so she quickly wrapped up all of the plot lines in like three sentences. I am a huge reader and a huge Fern Michaels fan but the ending is really terrible. The whole book builds toward all of these scenarios and then DONE. It’s like watching the movie Titanic for 2.5 hours and then suddenly the screen goes blank and then just says It Sank, the end. I am still giving it 3 stars bc I loved everything else about it.

Intriguing read.
It was was captivating until the end which was abrupt. As if the author ran up against the deadline. This left some details missing (like the prom night accident and the reunion with her old roommate). Great but heartbreaking storyline.

Can you outrun your past?
Fern Michaels implies there is no such thing as a safe secret. Raped on the night of her senior prom, Maddy Carmichael runs away from her miserable excuse of a life. But as she’s leaving, her rusty Mustang is the vehicle in a hit and run with Maddy behind the wheel. She escapes that nightmare only to become entangled in an abusive relationship until one night at a dinner party, her life comes full circle. Can she face her past and rise above her current imprisonment of a marriage? Pick up the book to find out.

A very good book! Intense from the beginning to the end! Molly/Maddie seems to have a very bad karma which seems to follow her most of her life, till the day she decides to take action in her own hands in order for her to break the pattern and free herself from the past! Thanks to her daughter Kristen who sees her as a good mother going threw an abusive husband and stepsons. A very good book! Very edgy from the beginning to the end and a very hard time to put the book down. Mrs Michael always has a special story to keep you focus on the story….and not your daily problems. Many thanks!

Typical Fern Michael’s good fun, good plot, good read

A very strange book. It ended just where the action was beginning. When it ended, the protagonist hadn’t even met the man who according to the epilogue brought her ‘happiness ever after’.
