The Spider Heist (Spider Heist Thrillers Book 1)
The FBI taught her everything. Even how to get away with stealing millions.
Blair Morgan has an impossible choice. Once the FBI’s premier covert entry specialist, she’s now serving coffee after nine months in prison—betrayed by a boss she trusted for following his orders.
But when masked gunmen take her hostage for a high stakes bank heist, Blair’s survival instincts immediately kick in.
The crew’s getaway quickly transforms into a heart-stopping chase across Los Angeles, and Blair glimpses something impossible: thieves who rappel down skyscrapers, outmaneuver tactical teams, and vanish like ghosts. The skills they display aren’t just good—they’re elite.
With police helicopters circling, squad cars crashing, and her former FBI boss closing in with deadly intent, Blair must choose between returning to a life in ruins or risking everything on this team she barely knows.
But in a world where everyone wears a mask, freedom comes at the highest price of all—trust.
And Blair Morgan is done playing by the rules.
The Spider Heist is the first book in a breathtaking thriller series where danger hides in plain sight, and nothing is what it seems. Perfect for fans of Money Heist, The Italian Job, and Heat.

fun entertaining book
I’m amazed that this author can write so many fantastic novels, I hope that he never stops writing. His books are some of the best Entertainment I have read and worth the time to read them. Thank you for a very fun entertaining read.

Real problems with narration but ultimately read most of it
This author uses very amateuristic techniques to drive the plot along, and keeps rehashing the last chapter or re-stating what the situation is for the characters when this should actually be clear from the telling of the story… so it gets a tad insulting and frustrating for the reader. But what is good is the attention to detail, such as the Omega Seamaster watch, the dialog, and a real faithfulness and commitment to keeping a story that is just on the line between fantastic and actually plausible. There is also some good dialog and attempt to establish good characters, although I really found the notion of ‘tac-ops’ pretty terrible, the beginning and intro to the female lead character was brilliant. The techniques here I hope will improve; I think the author just needs to tell the story straight and let it happen, stop trying to advertise how exciting each page is supposed to be, and focus on these truly unique and exciting qualities that make it a truly respectable effort.

A unique heist
Really enjoyed this book. Well written with believable characters and a very interesting plot. Can’t wait to start reading the next one in the series.

Loved it!
Blair is struggling on her job as a waitress and then she’s asked to go to a bar and accompany a man to his house and make more money in a few hours than she has been able to do in the last few months. She’ll see herself immersed in a heist and suddenly aware that she will be killed by her past boss in the FBI if she doesn’t convince the heist team that they should take her with them. Full of action described in such a way that one can “see” the streets of Los Angeles as well the car manouvers employed by Sterling to avoid the police and the way corrupt lawmen may behave I was cheering for the heist team! Highly recommended!I thank the author and his publisher for the free copy of this book.

Loads of Unexpected Fun!
This started off kind of how I assumed it would. As it progressed, it was okay, and held my interest fairly well. I grew to really like Blair Morgan, whom I learned is a disgraced former FBI agent who couldn’t even cut it as a waitress in a second rate diner. (Not that being a waitress is an easy gig…. Not at all.) After going home with a customer (not great judgment either) she finds she is entangled in a high stakes bank robbery. It seems like a comedy of errors, except that, as things moved along, I started to love it. The denouement and ending were terrific and contained a twist that I didn’t expect. It is original, for sure. Now I have to read #2. Damn! Too many series, never enough time!

Very true to the “heist” genre.
I like me a good heist movie from time to time.As with rom-coms, these movies largely follow a tried and tested formula. Which is not bad, in and of itself. The formula is what makes us recognize what the movie is about, and to some degree, what to expect.Almost Like a Country-rock hit. We know there is going to be two verses, a chorus, a verse, a chorus, a bridge, and then a couple of final choruses. Maybe a twangy guitar solo in there too, somewhere around the bridge. Add a vocal with a cowboy southern drawl and some awful yodeling, and you get the picture.Regardless, I enjoy heist movies. “Ocean’s 11” was great. 8, 12-13 not so much. “The Italian job” was passable. “Thomas Crown Affair” kind of enjoyable. “Widows” and “Inside Man” were absolutely magnificent. What separates the really good ones from the lesser ones is not so much the formula as the execution, but I will say that deviations from the formula can be a good thing. Surely, “Inside Man” was an example that renewed the paradigm somewhat, making it that more interesting. The problems I have with this book, are:1) It adheres very strictly to the “Heist formula”, leaving no surprises or need for thought on the reader’s part.2) All the characters in the story are extremely one dimensional. The things I did like with this book, are:1) The heist itself was impossibly complicated, but the author managed to present it as doable, given the right set of skills and planning. Just like in “Oceans nn”. And “The Italian Job”. And “The Thomas Crown Affair”. And so on.2) The long car chase was actually very well executed and highly enjoyable. For the most part it is well written. I did finish it, with a kind of “ate to many sweets” feeling at the end. This may be a good book for you if you feel the need for an easy read and don’t really want to be challenged or have to think. And, it may also fulfill your hunger for both the rom-com recipe and the heist recipe pastries.TL;DR:***SPOILERS AHEAD***Formula:1) A group of people, some know each other, some don’t, meet during the execution of a crime . Some are possibly hardened criminals, some probably not. What they do have in common is that they are all fit, handsome / pretty, even “sexy” and “hot”.2) They doubt each other’s motives, but for different reasons decide to do “the heist”.3) The intended victim of the heist is of course a corrupt rich guy (who, incidentally also is fat and off putting).4) The Heist is literally incredibly complicated. Almost everything can go wrong. Which they do, but the crew has contingency plans for all situations.5) As it turns out, none of the crew are “bad guys”, and they are really a tight-knit group of friends. They are very emphatic, likeable, and charming.6) The only really bad guy in the book is the corrupt FBI officer who tries to stop the heist and kill our protagonist for reasons of own.7) There is a dramatic escape in the form of a looong car chase.8) They manage to pull the heist off. No one gets hurt, and they are almost celebrated by the potential hostages.9) There was a twist in the plan (heist within the heist).Herein lies the problem. This looks like a generic formula, but is in fact the actual story of this very book. It is not badly written, it’s just not interesting or suspenseful. It is action-packed, but really not violent at all. It comes off as a feel-good novel, which I guess is not a bad thing. As for the characters: The protagonist (Blair) is a kind soul. And beautiful. And fit. Everyone thinks so. There is nothing to not like. At all.The other protagonist is also a kind soul. And handsome. And fit. Everyone thinks so. There is nothing to not like. At all.The antagonist is a corrupt, evil bastard who cheats on his wife, plants evidence, kills people, and is impossible to like. There is nothing good about him. At all.All other characters in the story are, well, hardly even there. Except for a clownish lawyer who actually shows some promise as a character, but ends up not playing a part in the story. I guess he will be re-introduced in the next book. Which I will not read.

Want a kick-*ss, adrenaline-fueled, in-your-face action-packed thriller? Jason Kasper does not disappoint!Set aside the time to read this in one sitting because once you start, you will not be able to put it down. This one reaches out, grabs you by the throat from the beginning and demands your undivided attention until the last page has been read. The breakneck pace will keep you up reading until the early morning hours and leave you gasping for breath more than once — you cannot turn the pages fast enough! Mr. Kasper has done his research (the driving scenes were nerve-racking and awesome!) and it shows…While you are waiting for the release of THE SPY THIEVES (Spider Heist Thrillers Book 2), check out The David Rivers (American Mercenary Thrillers) Series, also by Mr. Kasper — you will not regret it!AfterThought: I cannot believe it has been only two years since I first heard from Mr. Kasper. Six books later (with two more on the horizon), I am a huge fan!

I loved Jason’s earlier books – but this is just lame, non inspirational and easy to put down. I have no clue why some people are raving about this book. Really disappointing.

When a clumsy waitress is offered a one night stand job paying her more than she’d earned in months, she never expected her life to change so dramatically. Great read, thrills n spills along the way. Now into book 2.

This well written book is high on action and interesting characters. The dialogue sounds natural and the plot twists fall out of the sky.

5 StarsThe Spider Heist is the first book in the Spider Heist series by Jason Kasper. It popped up on my social media feed and immediately grabbed my attention- so I didn’t hesitate to purchase a copy and set off on the adventure. What I discovered was everything I could have hoped for, and so much more. It is an adrenaline-fuelled, action-packed crime thriller that had me completely invested right from the beginning. It is addictive reading, especially if you love exciting, edge-of-your-seat heist reads. With a professional ‘heist’ team, high stakes jobs, the FBI, cat-and-mouse-games, prison breaks, intense situations, twists and turns, suspense, mystery, adventure, tension, police/FBI procedure, danger, emotion, gripping storylines, agendas, and superb characters/character development- this story/series is one you certainly won’t want to miss out on.Having stumbled on this series, and author, entirely by chance is the surprise I didn’t even know I needed- as this series turned out to be spectacular and ended up being one of my all-time favourite series. I devoured the entire series in a matter of days as I couldn’t put them down. The fourth instalment was such a bitter-sweet read for me, as I really wanted to know what our characters got up to and how everything turned out in the end- but I was also so sad knowing that it was our last adventure together. It is one of those series that I would love to have go on forever- well, a few dozen books at least lol. I really hope the team will get thrust back into a few more adventures in the (near) future, as that would make me an incredibly happy little book dragon.Highly recommended!Happy Reading…Thank you, Jason Kasper!
