All The Lies: A gripping psychological thriller full of twists

‘Wow! Riveting. I read it in one sitting.’ Goodreads reviewer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

She thought he was the perfect husband. Now she’s running for her life.

As far as everyone is concerned, Amy and Jason have the perfect marriage. Except that Amy is trapped in a nightmare. Jason is a controlling, violent husband. Then on a short cruise without Jason, Amy befriends Liz, a young woman travelling alone on her way to meet her birth mother for the first time. Liz looks so much like Amy that they could be sisters.

When Amy regains consciousness after a ferry accident that takes the lives of many passengers, she finds that because of a mix-up in personal effects, everyone believes she is Liz. Only she knows it is Liz who has gone missing, presumed dead. Now, Amy has to make the most important decision of her life: tell the truth and return to a life of fear or become Liz for a while, until she figures out an escape plan.

But as Amy settles into Liz’s life, she finds that not everyone believes all the lies.

And she is only one mistake away from paying the price.

‘There is not one bad thing I can say about this book. I absolutely loved the ending it is one of those endings that you will watch the movie or read the book again just to get to it.’ Goodreads reviewer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

‘This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.’ Goodreads reviewer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great book about escaping a life you don’t want
All The Lies was a great read. Nicola Sanders does a wonderful job on writing about the vicious cycle of domestic violence and the lengths one will go to in order to escape the abuse.Amy has a wonderful husband, wears name brand expensive clothes, and has everything it appears. Her only friend barely gets to visit her. Behind all the facade, though, Amy is living in fear of her husband. He controls everything she does, accesses her of things she doesn’t do, and physically abuses her. She wants to escape and finds an opportunity when her mother gives her tickets for a cruise. The ferry she takes from the cruise ship crashes, and when Amy wakes up in the hospital, she has a plan to escape her abusive husband. The lies she tells piles up, and she’s caught up in a life she wants but is still afraid and hopes nobody will find out the truth. A twisty thriller with plenty of suspense.

    good read
Hard to put down- wild ride! I liked a lot about this book, but the ending felt rushed, with too much explanation by the author. Ruined it for me.

A good read from a top notch author
I have enjoyed every book I’ve read by Nicola Sanders and this was no exception. All the lies indeed! Many twisted turns and a guy you love to hate at the center. I devoured this one quickly! RECOMMENDED

I mean … What would YOU have done??……
What a fantastic, engrossing, read!I was 1st introduced to author Nicola Sanders by (fortunately!) happening across another book she’s written — Don’t Let Her Stay.(YOU *MUST* read that book! When people say that a book is, “un-put-downable”’— truly in all ways does Don’t Let Her Stay define that statement. I HONESTLY couldn’t stop reading it, tearing through the pages to learn what was next. It’s PHENOMENAL!!)Ok! But THIS review is not about that topic, it’s all about, All The Lies.Nothing can top the “other” title I gushed about above, but this story comes darn close. Sanders is definitely one of my favorite authors now, absolutely! It’s like the 1st book I mentioned, whereas the tale is quite dark at times, yet different due to it’s moments of levity. It’s well balanced. It’s also incredibly tension-filled. (In the best way possible!)As I flew through the pages, the chapters, of this story – well, again a couple (overused) phrases sum it up perfectly. It kept me on the edge of my seat; it’s a nail biter! Riveting & adrenaline fueled.I think it goes without saying — that this story covers all the foundational bases perfectly. Clearly an example of what a master wordsmith Sanders is. Meaning the character development, world building, use of emotive language, the plot, dialogue… just everything… created (& edited!) professionally & simply tight.I’ll stop here, as I might be temped to slip into some spoilers if I say more. (And no one likes those!)I can’t say much about the fantastic plot without it ruining your personal reading experience in this story’s case.. Just clear your calendar for the next day or two – & dive in!And …. if you’re so inclined – without judgement, see if you can put yourself in the main character’s shoes (Amy). What would you do, during the pivotal points on her journey, if you were Amy??…… 😉

There are a LOT of lies
I found myself somewhat captivated by this book. I had empathy for Amy. Being told you’re crazy when you’re not, being manipulated and being abused are things that will cause you to lose all self worth and you’re self esteem plummets. So I can see how Amy had to tell so many lies for such small reasons. Lying just because her friend came over, I can see how that could happen. Heartbreaking, yes. Surprising , no.I did get a few surprises from the story and those twists did cause me a couple of “oh no” moments, but for me the story wasn’t completely original. I think that’s why I only gave it four stars, it reminded me somewhat of “sleeping with the enemy” However it was a good read and I enjoyed the surprises in the end!

This one was totally gripping. I read this after reading Don’t let her stay…I never wanted to hurt a character more than a certain person in his book. I like how involved I got. This author is going places and I feel I’ll read any book of hers now. With this one I did feel the ending was a bit rushed and would have liked a few more pages but it doesn’t take away the awesomeness of the book.

A current topic, psychological and physical abuse. The lies, that after being told so much, seem like truths. The suffering that is caused to those around (family, friends, sons, daughters). The victim who cannot get out of toxic relationships and who many times no one supports.Congratulations
