Product Research 101: Find Winning Products to Sell on Amazon and Beyond

Just getting started with product research and sourcing? Stuck trying to find ideas or find that “perfect” winning product? Want to find good selling products that others are ignoring? Interested in wholesale or private label products? If you answered yes, then this book is for you.

This book is written for the new or struggling seller wanting to source wholesale or private label products.

What you will learn: Basic steps for finding top selling productsHow to generate product ideas and look for trendsHow to validate demand Tips for finding suppliersAnalyzing data to help you pick a productIt took me 5 months of research before I pulled the trigger on my first products to sell. Five months and countless hours. I had pages of notes with product ideas in many different categories. Some were wholesale products, others were ideas for my own products. I had some money set aside to buy inventory. But I couldn’t commit. I was looking for…not necessarily thee perfect product, but, well yeah, the perfect product.

Fear of choosing “wrong” was holding me back. I knew that product selection was key to success so I needed to choose right. I put so much pressure on myself to dream big and think towards the future that I did…nothing.

Another hold up was I was a little skittish to follow the advice to source from overseas suppliers. It seemed so complicated for a beginner. Could I not take a little less profit and source domestically? Were there not manufacturers that could produce my ideas in North America? Yes, and yes.

I put together this guide to help any of you who are feeling a little overwhelmed. I put this book together for all of you who have the brains to say “Hey, if everyone buys top 100 selling products wont that saturate the market?” I put this book together to help you find great products from many different approaches. After reading this, you should feel confident enough to find a product and get started with your e-commerce business.

This is a fantastic book for those who are wanting to finally take …
This is a fantastic book for those who are wanting to finally take the leap into Amazon FBA, but are stuck in the product selection process (or don’t know where to start). I’d also imagine it being beneficial even for those who are already selling, but could use some fresh ways to look for new products. The author goes beyond the typical formulas you see everywhere online about how to research a potential product, and gives a lot of new ideas. I thought I’d seen all the tips out there after all of the research I had done, but this book presents a lot of ideas I had not considered, had not seen suggested anywhere else, and are really logical, great suggestions. The book also provides actionable steps, directions for how to maximize certain resources, and gives a lot of very helpful and important tips regarding the entire process of getting started (including things that could lead a new seller into trouble, which I really appreciated). It is also written in such a way as to make the process realistic for anyone, regardless of your goals, start-up capital, etc. If you’re just starting the search for your first product, if you’re stuck in that process, or if you need new, fresh ways to research potential products, I highly recommend this book.

    Very educative
When I first got this book, I saw how thin and small it was and was off put by it. Once I started reading I realised that this book isn’t massive yet very informative and I learnt lots from it that I didn’t even learn from an accelerated uni course on e-commerce. This book taught me a lot, was an easy read, and now I feel though I can easily go forth and pick a great product via smart analysis strategies I learnt from this book.Thank you Renae Clark!

wish I had this book years ago!
the ideas on where + how to source items to sell were great – I took notes on every page. a pile of free browser extensions + search tools are talked about. what a great book for a beginner looking to start selling on Amazon (pertains to online selling in general also). can read in one evening… take notes and next day get to work.

The reading made me want to write a book, and I have the confidence that it will be a great book.
First time I see a book that is only 57 pages, but can still be sold and survive for 5 years. It has a lot of good reviews, and it may still live longer than normally expected. To tell the truth, the cost of $6.99 for the book is not a big deal, and I did not even get much insight from it. Yet it has opened my eyes and showed me something that I have never thought before.Unlike any other English books, this one is more like a small personal pocket book of self use notes. It does not have appendix, no notes, no index, nor any references. Also, it has no print of the publishing house, not even the price. Only thing, it has a very small part of the author introduction, and it is too simple beyond imagination. Can this actually be called a book?Yes! Why not?And it is still selling! You don’t have to be a big name, as long as you can deliver something and help people, even a very small fraction of the number of audiences, you can write a book. And despite of the personal doubts and limitations placed on yourself, you can actually become a better writer. The reading of this book made me want to write a book in English, and publish it in any English speaking countries, and I have the confidence that it will be a great book.本来只想写一本中文书,读完此书突然发现我还可以写本全英文书,并且完全可以达到媲美超越此书层次和水平……读万卷书之−–product research

An honest, and rich sources of info
Honest resources, truly good tactics that are based on real experience i can tell. The author goes with real detail on how to find a product using various sources with disciplined scientific approach; use various standards and perspectives to consider what the winning product is. Also she doesnt sell her classes not does she does seem to sell other products which makes me believe the idea here is objective. Lastly she says play by the reasonable sense of morality to abide by the rules. This ensures long term success in internet world where the rules changes often to filter out the ones playing the system. Good read for product research

I have no experience with amazon FBA and ecommerce in general. However, this book has given me a general idea of what my customers go through. It’s short, but packed with lots of valuable ideas and golden nuggets. I loved reading it, will keep reading every once in a while.
