Crave: Crave Series, Book 1
My whole world changed when I stepped inside the academy. Nothing is right about this place or the other students in it. Here I am, a mere mortal among gods…or monsters. I still can’t decide which of these warring factions I belong to, if I belong at all. I only know the one thing that unites them is their hatred of me.
Then there’s Jaxon Vega. A vampire with deadly secrets who hasn’t felt anything for a hundred years. But there’s something about him that calls to me, something broken in him that somehow fits with what’s broken in me.
Which could spell death for us all.
Because Jaxon walled himself off for a reason. And now someone wants to wake a sleeping monster, and I’m wondering if I was brought here intentionally – as the bait.

Action-Packed Paranormal Fiction
This story I grabbed as I have been interested in it for a while, and I want to see if it was as good as the hype.Grace is on the brink of an epic adventure out in the far reaches of Alaska. The author adds in some fantastic dialogue that makes you chuckle. The author has creative chapter titles for her book. It is interesting. So Grace has moved to this academy with some of her family due to her parents passing. The guy she meets is obviously the first clue that this book is paranormal in nature, and Grace might just be a mere human she might not be, but does she know. He comes with a wired warning after his jerk face intro. Jaxson is a force so far, and when he comes to her rescue, he definitely sets up my spidey senses. Flint is a pretty boy, and he seems sweet. Katnere academy, in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness, is a castle-like none other.I love that the author included a popular Netflix show. I mean, why not? It might hold similarities to Grace’s circumstances. But even at that, we still don’t know precisely what is being hidden at the academy. Things heat up in the time span she is there, and not her curiosity is getting the best of her. I love the Twilight reference in this story, but the characters are still vague on the paranormal in this school.Grace is an absolute mess, but she does seem to migrate to danger. People are starting to show their true colors, including Jaxson and Macy. But I still don’t know what paranormals are in this story. I feel bad for Grace as she seems to get stuck in Jaxsons hot and cold flashes and, of course, team Jaxson and Team Flint.Ahh, the paranormal world gets revealed finally, and this book contains all sorts of species. I won’t reveal them all as I have the fun of reading this was figuring it out. Once you know, the first part of this book makes more sense. However, there is still a nagging question about why Jaxson commands so much respect? Finally, we get to the real romance of this story, and oh, it is swoon-worthy! Jaxson is a force to be recommended when he finally makes up his mind. This book gets even more intense and action-packed toward the end of it. Omg!! Just as I thought we were done with one crisis, the next one happens. I’m surprised by the turn of events. This book ends on a massive cliffhanger. I’m dying to read more.Grace and Jaxson are magnetic in this book. Their romance rivals some of the great paranormal ones. I loved every minute of Grace’s broken, stubborn, teenage self. Jaxson honestly came off as a jerk most of the time, but he was gentle with Grace. This book so didn’t go the way I thought it would, and I loved the surprises in it. I like the themes in this story overcoming grief, fighting for love, protection. This was a very YA read no steam in this story. I can’t wait to read for in this series. I want to know what happens to Jaxson and Grace.I do like the exclusive look into Jaxson’s point of view at the end of the book. This takes us back to the first day of school but from Jaxson and the order’s point of view. So this seems to be but and pieces of his viewpoint with some of the more intense action scenes from the story.

It was fun, cheesy, filled with magic, love, and danger, and I want more.
Gah. So I just finished Crave. Like I mean I have been sitting here pouting for five minutes because the book is over, and if I order book 2 right now I won’t get in until Monday May 3rd (with my “prime 2 day shipping it takes a week) type pouting BUT I NEED IT. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT.If you didn’t already know, I have a love-hare relationship with cliffhangers. Doesn’t matter if it’s shoes, movies, or books. The frustrate the hell outta me… But I love them anyways. And this book is no different. But that’s besides the point. I’m currently trying to form a coherent thought about crave. I am. But I’m still pouting. After an accident, Grace’s whole world is flipped upside down, and has her stepping foot into a private Alaskan boarding school that she will now call home for the next for seeable future. But things are definitely not as they seem. From gorgeous, but arrogant guys who try to get her to leave one second and bring a new meaning to ghosting, to hot, goofy guys who can carry all of Grace’s belongings up multiple flight of stairs without so much a breaking a sweat. But that’s not the only thing that seems off. Grace has no idea what she steps into the middle of, but all of a sudden Grace is more vulnerable then she has ever been. When they say high school bites, they weren’t joking around. Can Grace survive, or will her being in Alaska spell death for everyone involved?I seriously loved this book. It brought on a serious case of nostalgia. The angsty teenage vampire romance. I am normally not a huge fan of insta-love and prefer a love triangle or enemies to lovers but I did enjoy this book. The story takes place in a matter of weeks. At times it may have been cheesy (in a good way) & had some “dad jokes” thrown in (seriously, I love those!), But it made me swoon. I fell in love with Jaxon. For everything he has been through. My heart goes out to him, the broken bad boy. The vampire who has witnessed too much already in his short life.My heart also went out to Grace. A teenage girl who had her world she knew ripped away from her and instead has to adjust to a world she knew nothing about. The insta-love may have had me rolling my eyes, but I still enjoyed this book, and I cannot wait to read the next one, and see what happens next to Jaxon, Grace and everyone else at Katmere Academy. Seriously. I don’t wanna wait a week for the next book to get here in the mail. That’s too long. 😩😩 I need more of Jaxon & Grace today! It was fun, cheesy, filled with magic, love, and danger, and I want more. 4.5⭐ out of 5⭐.

I just want to start off by saying this is better than Twilight. I see so many comparisons in the reviews saying this is terrible because it’s just a knock off Twilight but I there’s only a few commonalities, first being that there is ofc vampires and werewolves, the second being the broody vampire after the new girl. And lastly, the territorial thing between species. But the similarities end there for me.This plot had much better depth and progression than I feel Twilight ever had. I loved the unusual aspects of Crave as well, it wasn’t just your common magical beasts like most fantasy books these days implore, it was so much more and I am definitely excited to read Crush next month. The ending left me with so many questions that I feel as though I could just stare at a wall pondering for weeks…😂I’m really loving Macy FYI, I wanna see more of her, not just as a support character but Macy in action!

This book is soooo amazing! I could not put this book down. When I got to 50 % of the I couldn’t believe it! It was so captivating that I just kept reading and before I knew it I was over halfway. Grace and Jaxon have a great relationship. I highly recommend this book. I can’t wait to continue to read the next book. It left me on a cliffhanger I have to see how it ends. A must read series!
