Precious
Agree with the teachiz review – evocative, enchanting and inspirational. Another hit for this author. A well created story, beautifully written and filled with sense, advice and wisdom for readers going through the trials and emotions of their lives at any ages.I will follow Evie Woods whatever she writes. Besides the art of her craft, I think she is giving much of herself in every book she writes.

Storytelling at its best!
I’ve read “The Lost Bookshop” and “The Story Collector” which were both excellent and difficult to put down. I’m almost halfway through this one and I’m just as pleased as the other two. Evie Woods has a wonderful imagination and writes a story that draws me into the environment and makes me adore the characters. I highly recommend this book.

An Evocative Masterpiece
Evie Woods, the Author of “The Violin Maker’s Secret” has written an evocative masterpiece. The genres for this inspirational and captivating novel are: Historical Fiction, Magical Realism, Fantasy,Music, Suspense and Mystery, with a dash of Romance. The author visually and vividly describes the scenery, and the dramatic, colorful, complex and complicated characters. Baggage Claim Agent Devlin finds an older violin in the lost and found section in Heathrow Airport. He purchases it for his girlfriend, thinking it is the perfect gift, but all the girlfriend expects is an engagement ring. Somehow, Devlin is drawn to this violin, and bring it to an old professor that inspired him, Walter, who is now retired and needs a sense or purpose, as soon as possible. Both of them bring the violin to an appraiser Gabrielle, who senses that there is something magical about this instrument and researches it.The unusual trio find themselves on an adventure in the search of the history and truth of the violin. The Violin Maker has exquisitely created this beautiful musical instrument that tell so much more. There is a dangerous and challenging mission to find out where and what is so special about this violin. I loved this book and highly recommend it.

The Violin Maker’s Sevret
This was a wonderful story about the impact of a violin on the lives of all the characters. The story held my attention and was difficult to put down. I love the intrigue, magic, and all of the wonderful characters in Evie Woods books and recommend them all.

Good Book
I have read the other books by this author, and this is similar in that it is mostly believable but has a touch of fantasy in it. I don’t think you need to be a musician to appreciate the story.

Great author, great novel.
Like her previously well written novels, The Violin Maker’s Secret:…, by Evie Woods, does not disappoint. Her stories mix the lives of what seem like random characters with intriguing story lines and unexpected twists. Well worth checking out all her novels. Most enjoyable and highly recommend.
B McCullough –
Once again, another beautiful journey through this book. It took me a chapter or so to get into it, but then I was flying through the rest of it, and loved all the characters, and the many interesting facts and history that was given about the Violin and there background, the famous Luthiers, the shapes, styles, wood used… I found it all fascinating. Once again, Evie managed to weave so much factual information in a way that brought the story more and more to life, rather than being just boring facts. I loved the quirks of each of the characters, and particularly enjoyed the trips the characters took together. Also, jumping timelines the way Evie does is addictive – I loved learning the background of the violin itself and its personality and the journey it took and the many additional characters we were introduced to as a result. A rich layering of stories, sewn together expertly. I always find I miss them all and wished I’d had more time to spend with them. A sure sign of a good book!

She is becoming one of my favorite authors as I love her books. This book does not disappoint! You’ll get hooked as soon as you start this book.
Marguerite Leggett –
Evie’s book about musicians and their loves – instruments and people – is an invitation into a world above the ordinary. I barely put this book down. She inserts her own unique supernatural style to all her books and here adds an occult twist to the myths that surround violins. Historical vignettes mix with violin and guitar playing heroes. There is a large character array and the cast of villains are both unpleasant and sympathetically written. All her characters are offered personal redemption. The worthy receive it..

This book is a rare gem. I read a lot of books across a wide range of subjects: romance, psychology, management and personal development. This book has lessons for students of all of these subjects beautifully wrapped up in a tight-knit story to delight the reader. I couldn’t put it down.
