Ten years after the high-profile kidnapping of two young boys, only one returns home in this gripping #1 New York Times bestselling Myron Bolitar thriller from the bestselling author and creator of the hit Netflix drama The Stranger.

A decade ago, kidnappers grabbed two boys from wealthy families and demanded ransom, then went silent. No trace of the boys ever surfaced. For ten years their families have been left with nothing but painful memories and a quiet desperation for the day that has finally, miraculously arrived: Myron Bolitar and his friend Win believe they have located one of the boys, now a teenager. Where has he been for ten years, and what does he know about the day, more than half a life ago, when he was taken? And most critically: What can he tell Myron and Win about the fate of his missing friend? Drawing on his singular talent, Harlan Coben delivers an explosive and deeply moving thriller about friendship, family, and the meaning of home.

Full of Suspense and Full of Heart! Harlan Coben’s best book by far.
Win, or Windsor Horne Lockwood, III, has always known exactly where home was. He just hasn’t been there in a while. Home is where his best friend Myron Bolitar is. Myron is Win’s true north. Always has been. Always will be.In Home, by Harlan Coben, Win needs Myron’s help, not the other way around. While in London, Win sees a boy, one who looks like one of two young boys who went missing 10 years prior (Patrick Moore). The other young boy (Rhys Baldwin, Win’s nephew) is nowhere to be found. In trying to rescue Patrick and find Rhys, Win knows he can’t do it alone. He knows he needs help from his best friend and the only person he can trust in this world: Myron. Together, they make a formidable team. In trying to solve this mystery, and find the boys and bring them home, Myron and Win enlist the help of Esperanza, Big Cyndi and even Mickey Bolitar, Ema and Spoon, because, well, they are better together.I won’t spoil this for anyone who has not read it, but let me just say, that I devoured this book and loved every second of it. I don’t recall having read a Myron Bolitar book where Win’s point of view was in the first person, but I really enjoyed it and felt liked I was getting to know him more intimately. While I adore Myron, I will admit that Win is my absolute favorite character, simply because he loves Myron unconditionally.Harlan Coben out did himself with this one. This is without a doubt his best novel to date and is his best Myron Bolitar/Windsor Horne Lockwood III, novel. It had heart and soul and was a great mystery to boot. I laughed, and cried, more than once. I absolutely loved it and loved that Myron and Win had to get the team back together in order to figure this one out. Big Cyndi was prominently featured and was a hoot as always. What was obvious from the first chapter was that these characters are the heart and soul of Harlan Coben and they have never left him, and neither will we.Thank you Mr. Coben, this was worth the wait!Published on Goodreads and Amazon on 9/26/16.

A very good Harlan Coben read, but hoping for a better outing next time.
So Harlan Coben fans know and love his witty style, as do I. This book was good but not his best. I liked the cold-open with Win in first-person (which was the first time I’ve seen Win open a story like that), and the first act was fast and suspenseful. Then it seemed to drag down and the second act took a while and got a little implausible (and I’m factoring in my normal “implausibility allowance factor”). Anyway, then ending was somewhat a twist but started to become clear a bit too soon, and was, ultimately, in my opinion, less satisfying than the ending many might have been expecting. I guess I’d rather not had a twist and had a more swashbuckling ending, even if it red-lined my implausibility allowance.Question for Win fans–I’m wondering how everyone else casts Win. I picture a mix of Niles from Frasier (voice and mannerisms) mixed with a little ’70s Robert Redford (face, mixed with a little Niles) and a touch of Chris Hemsworth (build).

This One Was Worth The Wait!
“Home” is Harlan Coben’s latest Myron Bolitar/Windsor Lockwood novel and boy was it worth waiting for. If you have never read this series, this is not a bad one to start with as there is enough back story and characterization to make new readers comfortable. Longtime readers of this series remember that the series seemed doomed after the last installment as Win and Myron seemed to drift apart and Coben began focusing on Mickey Bolitar, Myron’s nephew, in a new young adult series. But after much too long a wait, “Home” appears and all is right again in my literary world.Ten years ago, two six year old boys from wealthy families were apparently kidnapped and subsequently, disappeared from the grid. One of the boys, Rhys Baldwin, was the son of Win’s cousin, Brooke, and Win has never stopped looking. Thanks to an anonymous tip, he has tracked one of the boys, Patrick Moore, to a sleazy pickup area of London. When his rescue attempt goes awry, he calls his best friend who he has not talked to in a year, Myron Bolitar, and enlists his aid immediately. There is palpable emotional drama when the two estranged friends reconnect and decide to refocus on the case with Win operating in London and Myron going back to where it all began.A wonderfully entertaining mystery ensues highlighted by eternal themes of family drama, commitment, and secrets coupled with the limits of personal friendships and familial devotion. As always, at its core, “Home” is a reflection of the deeply satisfying yet constantly evolving friendship between two of the most interesting characters, Win and Myron, in modern thriller literature. There are appearances by Micket, ema, and Spoon from Coben’s young adult series and other former characters make solid appearances. As our heroes begin zoning in on the truth in their search, family secrets are laid bare and questions of familial loyalty and truthfulness emerge leading to a satisfying, if not unanticipated, surprise reveal. This Bolitar/Lockwood novel reads more like an engaging mystery than the more familiar suspense/thriller but I admit to being caught off guard by the opening chapter as the point-of-view of the protagonist was not what I expected. Indeed, there are chapters which sometimes alternate POV between Myron and Win.”Home” is a highly recommended read for loyal Coben readers as well as for first timers. I hope this effort spurs Coben to continue this exciting and rewarding series.

    AMAZING -WOW
A GREAT story! Definitely has a lot of twists and turns & starts with a bang that makes you want to keep reading. All of the characters are enjoyable not just the main character – I never saw that last secret coming 🤯 – I am still in shock – in awe – Great last little tidbit to throw in there & only someone whose read most of series would understand why -cause you got know the characters -WIN never ceases to surprise me -What I like most about this series is you don’t have to read all the books to enjoy them or the series. But the books are ofc way more entertaining if you do- I really love this series – I hope it never ends lol – every book is entertaining

Absolut empfehlenswert. Allerdings macht es Sinn, die Bolitar Reihe von vorne zu lesen und nicht mit dem neusten Werk zu beginnen.

For those wo got tired of Sports Rep Bolitar; this is a fresh breath. There are enough turns and twists to keep you engrossed. The pace is racy and the narrative lean. A good and entertaining read !

Harlan Coben is a great author, it is one of the best books of the Myron Bolitar series. It was the first time that we’ve Win’s thoughts. The author isn’t predictable, like some mason authors. It’s sad had finish the book and I’ll hope he don’t take more four years to write a new Myron Bolitar series book.
