Madness is a breathtaking, unhinged roller coaster! Equal parts emotional destruction, dark romance, and jaw-dropping plot twists. From start to finish, I was completely consumed. I’m telling you, this book has everything: spice, mystery, and a romance as dark as my soul.This book ties up so many loose ends from the entire series while simultaneously cracking open even more doors for the future. You will be utterly unprepared for what you read, so you’ll want to reread the entire series just to catch all the intricate connections. It’s unreal how Shantel Tessier weaves the L.O.R.D.S. universe together, bringing back beloved characters like Ryat, Sin, and Tyson to play a huge role in the final chapters.I never expected to fall as hard for Haidyn as I did, but this man is everything. He says he doesn’t believe in love, but the way he loves doesn’t have a comparison. A fortress on the outside but all heart underneath, his love is fierce, protective, and completely unforgettable. The amount he suffers through this book will make your heart ache. When you get to the part with the video, you will be sobbing as much as I was. His beautiful soul shines through everything, and I love him for it.Charlotte/Anabelle is one of my favorite heroines of the entire series. This woman is so incredibly strong and brave, and she falls so hard for Haidyn against all odds. Her entire life story is crazy, and it takes a turn at the end that made my head spin.As always, just when you think you have it figured out, she hits you with another plot twist… even in the very last chapters! My head was spinning by the end. The author gives you plenty of breadcrumbs to form your own theories, but she still manages to make you doubt yourself and hang on to the edge of your seat until the very end. This book is the definition of a fast-paced, unputdownable read.And yes, the spice is off the charts. It’s a key part of the emotional arc and the dark, dangerous desires woven throughout the story.Madness is a total gem. I was sobbing, kicking my feet, and swooning over the whole book. This world just keeps getting richer, and I’m completely here for it.

I’m struggling to even write this review because there are SO MANY twists, turns, and reveals in this book that I don’t want to give anything away.This reads equal parts like a typical Shantel book that I’ve grown to know and love, and equal parts something more. The plot was complex, the characters were interesting and the spice was HOT.Haidyn was a bit different than I was expecting bit it was in the best of ways. He might have become my favorite MMC in this universe. This man was cocky, stubborn, k nky, intuitive, dominate AF, and had the DIRTIEST mouth.Annabelle as a character was such a intriguing combination of tough, submissive, stubborn, determined, naive, and sexually mature.This is probably the spiciest book in the series, and if you’ve read the other books you know that’s saying something. I never thought it was too much but to each their own. But, to me there is also so much plot so the book felt balanced.I do think the book was a bit too long but I definitely got to a point where I blinked and had devoured the majority of the story so easily that it didn’t feel like it was so long. So don’t let the page count scare you.Kashton is who I thought was going to be my favorite when I read Carnage so I really hope his book is next so I can see if that’s true.

Madness is dark, intense, and pure L.O.R.D.S. chaos. At over 800 pages it’s a commitment, but once it hooks you, good luck putting it down.Haidyn completely stole the show for me. He’s brutal, protective, and deeply broken, but also surprisingly soft underneath it all. His backstory adds a lot of emotional weight, and watching his past collide with the present was easily the best part of the book.Charlotte had strong moments, and I loved her ambition, but I did wish she leaned into her power a bit more. At times she felt less ruthless than I expected given how dangerous this world is.The interconnected plotlines, secrets, and slow reveals are addictive, even when the book feels long. It’s dark, kinky, and full of trigger heavy content, so this is definitely not where you start the series.

madness is exactly… pure madness. some books feel like coming home to chaos and by the time i got to this point in the lords series, i thought i knew what to expect from shantel tessier. darkness, mind games corruption, games within games. and yet, haidyn’s story managed to caught me off guard in ways i didn’t expect. he’s the brother i assumed was the most unhinged, the least tethered to reality, but reading this book made me realize that what i thought i knew about him barely scratched the surface. from the very beginning, haidyn is terrifyind. physically and psychologically. he’s cruel, unpredictable and relentless in the way he pushes boundaries, but as always, shantel managed to peel back layers so even the monsters start to feel human. he’s dangerous and fascinating at the same time. i didn’t think i’d ever use the word sweet in connection to haidyn but there were moments where his obsession with charlotte revealed something almost tender. it’s not kindness nor safety, it’s possession, obsession, ownership, and yet somehow, in this world, that was enough for me to fall for him. charlotte, on the other hand, felt like the perfect counterpart. i loved that she wasn’t dropped into this world completely clueless. she knew what it meant to take an assignment from the lords and she stepped into her role as the therapist with a mix of determination and dread. her story isn’t one of soft romance either. she’s thrown into the lion’s den with haidyn, forced to play his games and endure his punishments, and yet, she still finds a way to hold onto herself. and the more time she spends with him, the more obvious it becomes that she’s not just surviving him. she’s matching him, pushing back in her own way and learning how to thrive in the darkness he creates. their connection isn’t romantic in the traditional sense. it’s twisted and filthy but that’s exactly why it worked for me. they chose each other when no one else could have possibly fit. the plot, like every book in this series, is layered with secrets, manipulations and shocking reveals. i’ve learned by now not to trust a single death and not to assume a single truth because shantel always has another card to play. some twists were predictable, others blindsided me, but either way i couldn’t stop turning the pages (even at nearly 800 pages, the book had me hooked). what made madness stand out from the previous lords books for me was how balanced it felt. the darkness, violence, filth and degradation are still there but it didn’t feel quite as suffocating as some of the earlier installments. it gave me room to actually sit with haidyn and charlotte, to process their connection, to appreciate the story beyond just the shock facto, and maybe that’s why they ended up stealing the spot as my favorite couple so far. i finished madness exhausted, exhilarated and more than a little morally compromised, which, honestly, is exactly the experience i want when i pick up one of these books. haidyn and charlotte’s story was brutal, obsessive and unforgettable, and i know i’ll think about it for a while.

Absolutely incredible. Worth the wait, I enjoyed every single page. The twists in true Shantel style were amazing, the spice was perfect. So many dots now connected, so many answers answered, but now new questions.I loved Haidyn so much, and his FMC was perfect for him! I loved the character progressions, not just the MMC & FMC, but side characters too. It was tense, exciting, so so steamy & emotional. Tears were shed, so many tears. But overall, it was perfect. I loved it so much.Haidyn was everything and more…. My love for the lords & spades, and their universe strengthens with every release, and I can’t wait for the rest of the series!!Forever obsessed with them…Super easy 5 star read.

I’ve had a soft spot for Haidyn since Carnage, but getting to know him more in his own book completely made fall for him. I devoured this 800 page book and left no crumbs.Haidyn is intense, dark, unhinged and fiercely protective. But deep down, he’s a man broken by his past, loyal, devoted and will do anything for the people he loves. Charlotte slowly helped him heal, showing him love in a way he didn’t think he was capable of. His love for her is consuming. He would do anything to protect her.Charlotte is my girl! She is resilient, cleaver and is not afraid to stand up for herself. I love how she got under Haidyn’s skin. Their dynamic is messy, passionate, raw and full of tension. And of course the spice uffff!I felt like I was in a Criminal Minds episode, piecing everything together and trying to figure out the twists. The suspense and the mystery kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I was not prepared for those revelations.I just love how at first we see Haidyn’s intensity and dominance, but as the story progresses, we get to see his vulnerable side.
