Good medical thriller
I haven’t read a medical thriller in a long time. I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Kept my interest with no ridiculous unnecessary side stories. Liked the characters and had plenty of plot twists.

Believeable
I thought it was a pretty good story. I feel like there were some unanswered questions. I’m assuming some of the story will be picked back up in subsequent books. I felt the medical terminology was on point without being too much for a layperson to comprehend. Overall, a pretty good read. I will read more of these stories.

Come for the plot twists, stay for the writing.Highly entertaining, start to finish.From the adrenaline-rush of the opening scenes in the ER to the unexpected twists throughout, the fast-paced, action-oriented writing style kept me guessing and turning the pages.ER doc Zack Winston finds himself at the center of a malpractice suit, but that is only the beginning of his problems. He soon realizes there is a much bigger conspiracy connected to the suit, which leaves him unsure of who he can trust. Zack and his hard-charging attorney Bridget Larsen soon find themselves in a race to uncover the truth and save lives—including their own.While this is an entertaining medical thriller, what sets this book apart from most genre fiction is the elevated writing. Fans of both medical thrillers AND literary fiction will appreciate the depth of the story, which features layered, complex characters, an examination of grief, and a look at the often-hidden struggles of front-line medical workers.The medical references are at times complex and detailed (the author is a doctor) but I was able to understand them and I don’t have a medical background.If you enjoy thought-provoking medical suspense, this is one you will want to pick up.

Great book
I loved this book. I’m A retired paramedic so I was in my element. The plot of the book never lagged ,never got boring. Between the medical stuff and all the legal maneuvers, the storyline stayed connected. The characters were real, the conspiracy was never revealed until the ending, which I assume might continue in the next book, as Zack and Bridget continue ..I don’t think she’s one to cave in because her voice isn’t so loud now..sometimes those that speak softly stand out more than those who yell and scream. I’m definitely going on to book #2.

Hold on to your hats!
I love medical thrillers and this one did not disappoint! Even though I have no medical background, and even though the is a lot of medical jargon, I absolutely couldn’t put this book down! Either you get the jest of what is being talked about or your knowledge was irrelevant, the story never seemed to end with intrigue! It’s like driving from 0-60, this story kept going faster and faster with more surprises after each page. The characters are great! The story is great! And, I can’t wait to read book 2! Enjoy!!
