Raising The Titanic: A powerful novel of resilience and hope, inspired by a true story (Light & Life Series Book 3)

She survived the Titanic—and that was the least interesting thing about her. Based on the extraordinary true story of Helen Churchill Candee.

Despite her initial misgivings, forensic artist Madison McClain joins an ambitious effort to exhume and identify the final forty-four unnamed victims of the Titanic disaster.

The project is backed by a splashy new docuseries—and under the all-seeing lens of the camera, long-buried truths begin to surface.

As Madison painstakingly reconstructs faces lost to time, she uncovers the remarkable story of a woman history unjustly forgot—a trailblazer whose courage and resilience echo across the decades. Drawn into her life, Madison finds herself inspired in ways she never expected.

Historical and current weaved together masterfully.
This book fantastic! I thoroughly enjoyed the entire story. It is well written and researched. I loved the weaving of the story from historical to recent recent. I am really loving this author. I have listened to all of her work and anticipate future work.

Two Women, One Powerful Story—Loved It!
Raising the Titanic by Marta Molnar was another great book by Marta. I went in expecting a historical mystery and ended up with a moving, beautifully written story about two women—generations apart—both uncovering truth, loss, and strength in their own ways. The dual storylines are woven together with care and intention. I found myself equally invested in both timelines, which doesn’t always happen! Each woman’s journey felt personal and powerful, and the way their lives mirrored each other across time was incredibly well done. This book had the perfect blend of history, mystery, and heart. I loved the emotional depth, the quiet resilience of the characters, and the reminder that healing sometimes starts with the courage to look back. Highly recommend for anyone who loves layered stories with strong female voices.

    Loved The First 90%
This was a fantastic read until the end. Up to that point I couldn’t put it down. The last 10% dragged compared to the rest of the book. And the recommendation to read the main characters book was unsuccessful! Although I searched I couldn’t find it.

    Another “can’t put down” book!
In full transparency, I was already a fan of this author after reading her two previous books. I’m also fascinated by the story of the Titanic, so when I heard she was writing a novel set around it, I knew it was a must read. Once I picked it up, I couldn’t put it down.Marta Molnar does an incredible job of seamlessly weaving together the past and present, creating a story that feels both timeless and engaging. Her female leads are always so strong, inspiring, and complex. I find myself wanting to know even more about them long after the last page.Beyond the story itself, I learned so much more about the Titanic and the era surrounding it. If you’re a historical fiction fan, or just love a beautifully told, character-driven story, I highly recommend this book.

    Well crafted Titanic novel
I love to read novels about the Titanic if they include obscure facts and have real characters that are not well-known. This book incorporates research about the voyage, the remarkable life of one of the passengers and the deaths of previously unidentified passengers. It was so good, i found myself binge-reading this book and had difficulty putting it down. There is also a subplot that ties through both main female characters. It’s the abuse women have endured and the suffrage movement. This was a fascinating book that will stay with me for quite a while.

    Not Intriguing, Inspiring or Entertaining
This talented author has tremendous skill to bring readers into the story. I was disappointed however, because she gives more attention throughout to the feminist movement then to the tragic loss of lives on the Titanic. So many life stories to use as a base for a novel. Her agenda to push the idea that men are a secondary aspect in a woman’s life chokes what could have been a much better story. My second and last novel by this author..a tedious read

    Raising the Titanic
This is my second time reading this book. I enjoyed it once again. Gave it away at a Christmas book club get together, presented at our book club in January. It wasn’t chosen, but someone must have read it and it was presented again in February. I’ve read all of Marta Molnar’s book and enjoyed all three of them. Will be looking for more.

This is the third book I have read by Marta Molnar. Her books are very well researched and you are immediately drawn in by her characters. She writes about women who have led remarkable lives, but are generally unknown and under appreciated. You feel like you are living in their time .I can’t wait for her next book.
