    Captivating and Perspective Altering
Reading Tatae’s Promise was a captivating and a perspective altering experience for me. Between reading sessions, reflections persisted on what these strikingly described Jewish victims were confronting, solely because they were Jews. This masterpiece of writing draws one like a magnet to return to see if they would survive and if some brave sympathizer might emerge to help. The authors skillfully wove together several personal, historical, psychological, medical, political, cultural, and religious threads into a meaningful whole. The unifying thread was the powerful descriptions of the experiences of real individuals who endured the horrific cruelties of daily prison life and existence under the oppressive Nazi and Russian regimes.Yet, with the threat of immediate death ever present, the prevailing strand was the sense of purpose of the main figure, a personal legacy of her father to her, and her faith in God, that bound these threads together into an intensely personalized narrative—one that ultimately ends in total vindication for her, and for all, a clear picture of the unshakeable viability of the human spirit and the essential importance of faith.Given the current rise in antisemitic rhetoric and demonstrations, it causes one to realize how fragile civil society is and that the atrocities of Auschwitz could happen again. This book should be on every recommended reading list.-Dr. John Horn, Former Superintendent (Retired) Mesquite Independent School District, Mesquite, Texas

Definitely up there as one of my favorite books
“Tatae’s Promise” is one of those rare books that captivates you from the first page until the very end. It’s an enthralling narrative that delves deep into the lives of its characters, making them feel incredibly real and intimately known. What I particularly love about this book is the way it sensitively portrays the harsh realities of its setting, illustrating the truth with grace and respect. The author has a remarkable talent for writing with vivid, descriptive language that brings each scene and emotion to life. Despite the heavy themes, the story is told in a relatively positive light, emphasizing resilience and hope. This book motivates me to read more stories about people who overcame seemingly insurmountable challenges, especially those set in the World War II era camps. These powerful narratives need to be shared, and the world must hear their truths.I wholeheartedly recommend Tatae’s to anyone who seeks a profoundly moving and enlightening read.

    ABSOLUTE MUST READ!
This should be required reading for everyone! I’ve never left a review of anything before, but this is a must! This true story of one woman’s life has changed mine because of who she was. Facing against the worst circumstances a human could ever endure, she never gave up. Even when everything pointed to letting go and giving in she never did and created a beautiful life and left an amazing legacy. Evil will always exist and persist but God is greater, and with him we have the tools to survive any evil that comes our way. This book had me experience the full range of emotions, laughter, heartbreak, anger, fear, love, etc. No matter where you are in life you will absolutely find courage and strength through Hindas harrowing life story. If I could afford it I would buy this book for every person!Must read for anyone in any circumstances! I found hope, courage and a renewed sense of purpose in my own life after finishing this book. Order now! Don’t wait.

    Riveting, Inspiring Masterpiece
This book is nothing short of a masterpiece. It’s a heartwarming love story, a gripping story of survival, an informative textbook of facts, and a powerful testament to the human spirit. The author is a brilliant writer with exceptional attention to detail. Her sharp narrative draws you in – – and you fall in love with the characters – – while visualizing a time that is impossible to comprehend. There are bouts of historical novelization peppered throughout the book, but the author so expertly weaves fiction with fact together that the fictitious embellishments do not disturb the facts – – they serve only to enhance each of the stories. You effectively get three stories in one: Hinda’s and Rachel’s, Wolf’s, and Walter’s, and every one is riveting. Initially, you can’t see the connection, and I got a little impatient guessing – – but keep reading – – because they all come together brilliantly. The sections at the end citing statistics, the afterwords, acknowledgements, and author’s explanation of fact vs fiction were extremely helpful in adding perspective to the book. The only drawback to the book is that you can’t put it down — and you end up getting nothing done until you finish it! 😀

Incredible Story of Survival in the Most Inhumane Conditions
The quality of the writing is top notch. The subject is a difficult read but so rich in detail. It’s an amazing testament to the human spirit and its capacity to endure suffering. Everyone should read this book to ensure that great evil must be rejected at all costs.

    Tough to read
A real torture due its believably honest story. Actually gut wrenching. I kept putting it down to kind of “cleanse the palate”. Kept near the bed for when I can handle it

Touching story of a family going through hell
we have several documentation means of the holocaust. I found this a touching story showing also the conditions before and after the camps, which is less told. In fact, I never realized how antisemitic the Polish and Ukrainian (likely others too) were after the war. Sherry did a fine job telling the family history as told by Moises to provide a readable, but effective tale of the actual history of his family.Young or old, If you have any interest in understanding this period, you’ll find this book a worthwhile experience.
